Intertwined
While travelling in Japan I visited the Open-Air Museum in Hakone, and when I was walking through the gardens, I saw a large structure that was made to emulate a beehive. The installation had a metal scaffolding-like frame with interlocking bars and big metal circles that connect to plastic hexagons. It had many openings and small pathways, which I walked through and even climbed on. I took many photos from different angles inside the structure that inspired my collection of black and white, tone to tone prints.
